Join a growing network of reef stewards
Lasting reef restoration starts with local involvement. Whether you are a student, volunteer, or researcher, there are many ways to get involved.

Youth internship program
Our internship program is designed for Curaçao-based youth, ages 13 and up
REACT’s internship programs are designed for local students who want to explore the underwater world and contribute to healthier reefs. Participants begin by earning their Open Water dive certification before being introduced to reef enhancement techniques and coastal ecology through hands-on field experiences.
Interns learn about coral biology, reef enhancement techniques, mangrove restoration, reef monitoring, and other practical underwater skills, all while gaining confidence and experience in the water. Along the way, they develop the knowledge and skills needed to volunteer with, or eventually work for, reef-focused organizations across Curaçao.
Our goal is to inspire long-term stewardship, increase awareness of Curaçao’s marine environment, and open doors to future opportunities in marine conservation.
Internships take place during school holidays and are organized in collaboration with local dive shops and conservation partners.
Become a volunteer
We are actively building a network of trained volunteers who can support reef restoration efforts across Curaçao. While REACT is still a young organization and continues to refine its methods, we are preparing to launch our volunteer network with a hands-on training workshop.
Volunteers will learn practical reef enhancement techniques such as algae removal, reef maintenance, monitoring, and other activities that help improve reef health. Once trained, volunteers can participate in organized restoration events and support projects across the island.
Our long-term goal is to create a network of independent reef stewards. Through an online volunteer platform currently under development, trained volunteers will be able to identify project sites that need attention, select reef zones to work on, and carry out enhancement activities independently or with a buddy—without requiring direct supervision from REACT staff.”

Research opportunities
We support research internships for university students on a case-by-case basis.
Projects may focus on reef restoration techniques, algal ecology, community engagement, or other topics aligned with our mission.
By connecting research with real-world application, we help bridge the gap between science and practice.
Jobs
We are a growing organization. As new opportunities become available, we will share open positions for those interested in contributing to reef restoration in Curaçao.
